Welcome to Lilleshall Cricket Club

The club runs three senior teams in the Shropshire cricket League, sponsored by fbc manby bowdler, as well as a thriving junior section for under 11s, under 13s and under 15s.  We are a ClubMark registered club which represents our commitment to providing juniors with a safe and well managed environment in which they can learn, practise and enjoy cricket.

If you would like to know more about playing or getting involved in cricket at Lilleshall then please contact us by email. Information about coaching nights, match venues and other events can be found on the Club Diary page.

This website is complementary to our official Play Cricket ECB website that we still use for recording scores and to access other ECB related resources.  You can read the match reports from all games (seniors and juniors) on our blog site.

If you are associated with the club - why not apply to join our facebook site - click the logo.

Note that this is a closed group and your application will have to be approved by the administrators.  The site is administered by the senior players and their decision is final.  Just as in real cricket - all appeals will be routinely turned down no matter how passionate!!

We're also on Twitter - you can register to receive updates when you need them.  Please note that Twitter feed will always be the most up to date information on the site, in the event of any confusion the Twitter feed is the one to follow.

Shropshire Cricket Board OSCAs 2010

Club Chairman Colin Wetherley-Mein continued the club's recent success at awards ceremonies by adding to the club's string of coaching and umpiring awards.  At the recent SCB OSCAs, he was presented with the League and Boards Award for Outstanding Services to Cricket in Shropshire.  The award was presented by ex-England Captain Mike Gatting and the picture is reproduced with the kind permission of Kidz In Sport.

Umpiring Awards 2009

Lilleshall umpires Colin Wetherley-Mein and Ron Harrison were recognised recently at the annual awards ceremony.

Ron won 1st Divison Umpire of the Year and Colin won the 3rd Division Umpire of the Year.

Only four of the seven nominees receive awards and these, together with the coaching awards gained by Pete Maltby and John Witty, demonstrate the high standards that the club both aspires to and achieves.  Congratulations to both Ron and Colin.

Congratulations to our latest new coach Rob Bagshaw who has successfully completed his level 1 coaching certificate and will be helping run coaching sessions in 2010.  Rob is a regular in the senior squad and is a real asset to our coaching staff.
